I am in the forestry business and regularly go bush whacking in the back forty. These are absolutely the best work boot for field work that I've ever had. I've worked in the forest for over 25 years now. I own 2 pairs and rotate them. They require some maintenance being leather and are not waterproof, but the ocassional coat of brown shoe polish and mink oil has them ready to go like new. There is not a work boot with better support. Make sure you wear a wool sock because of the leather liner. Some people find them narrow in the toe and I can understand that, but if they feel OK off the shelf, you won't be disappointed once they are broke in.
