Bastien Moccasins

Canadian Handmade Moccasins

BASTIEN INDUSTRIES is located north of Quebec city at Village Huron (Wendake). Our company is famous for the excellence of his moccasins, snowshoes and indian novelties.

Maurice Bastien, former Grand Chief of Huron-Wendat tribe, was an expert in the production of snowshoes, to which he confined his manufacturing operations until he started the manufacture of moccasins. The popular HIAWATHA brand of handbeaded moccasins, which bear the skilful needlecraft of the majority of the women of Wendake village, are distributed to many parts of the world. Descendants of the Huron-Wendat tribe will be found carrying on the work of their ancestors, going to their daily work in the Bastien factory, making moccasins and indian novelties.

M. Roland Bastien created Bastien Industries in 1972. It is now with passion and determination that his daughter, Mme Ginette Bastien, drives the family business to higher grounds.
